About the Luna Self Propelled Wheelchair
The Luna Self Propelled Wheelchair has a lightweight aluminium frame and a compact widthways folding design that make it practical for everyday travel and storage. The frame folds together with a folding backrest to reduce how much space it takes up, while quick‑release rear wheels and carry handles built into the seat help make lifting the folded chair into a car boot easier. These features combine to keep the chair simple to transport without adding unnecessary bulk.
Comfort has been considered for daily use, with a breathable nylon seat and backrest that encourages airflow and provides supportive padding. The chair includes firmly padded armrests and detachable footrests so the seating position can be more comfortable for longer periods. The swing‑back armrests pivot backwards with a simple release, opening the side of the seat to make transfers safer and more convenient for both the user and carer.
For attendants, the Luna provides shaped, textured push handles at a fixed, comfortable height and locking attendant brakes positioned on the handlebars for easy engagement. The self‑propelled model also has individual hand brakes on the rear wheels so the user can control and propel independently. Safety features include adjustable anti‑tip wheels supplied as standard, and the chair is finished in a matte black frame that keeps the overall look neat and understated.
