The Freedom Chair A08L is a folding electric powerchair designed for outdoor mobility and everyday use. It pairs a folding frame with large 12.5" pneumatic rear wheels to give improved traction and a smoother ride on surfaces such as gravel, grass and cobblestones. The chair is an upgraded version of the A08 model that focuses on outdoor capability while remaining practical to store and transport.
Drive is provided by two x 250W brushless motors with 300W peak. These motors deliver steady power for typical outdoor use and handling. The chair reaches a top speed of 4 mph (6.5 kph). Electromagnetic brakes add controlled stopping power, and anti‑tip wheels provide extra stability on inclines or uneven ground.
The A08L supports up to three lithium‑ion batteries. Each battery is a 24V 10Ah unit and a single battery gives an approximate range of up to 9 miles (15 km). Fitting two or three batteries increases the possible range to around 18 miles (30 km) or 27 miles (45 km) respectively. Actual range will vary with terrain, driving style, and user weight.
