The Monarch Ezi-Fold is built around a magnesium and aluminium alloy frame that aims to keep the overall chair weight low while offering structural strength. The chair supports a maximum user weight of 146 kg (23 stone). The frame design also allows the chair to fold to a compact size for storage and transport.
Drive is provided by two brushless motors in a rear-wheel drive layout. The dual motors give stable traction and allow the chair to turn on the spot. On a full charge, the chair can travel up to 22.5 km (14 miles). The top speed is 4 mph. The batteries are removable lithium units (24V 6Ah), and the chair supports both on-board and off-board charging.
