The Adjustable Giant Half Step offers a broad, secure platform with a chequered anti-slip surface designed to give good traction even when wet. You can leave the step outside as it is made from weather-resistant materials and has a self-draining surface to reduce standing water and maintain grip in damp conditions.
Height can be changed to suit different thresholds and users, with an adjustable range of 80–150 mm so you can match the step to doors and small steps. An optional height-extension kit is available to increase the overall height further if needed. For the greatest stability when adding rail support, we recommend securing the unit to the ground using the pre-drilled fixing points and fix-down feet.
The step comes in three platform sizes to suit different mobility aids: Medium for walking sticks, Large for walking frames, and Extra Large for rollators and wider devices. The generous surface area gives space to position feet or wheels safely and makes transfers easier for many users.
For extra support, you can fit an optional handrail that attaches to either side or both sides of the step; the handrail measures 900 mm in height. The step is delivered pre-assembled, and typical fitting involves attaching the feet, the toe plate and the handrail which can be completed in under an hour.
Durability and safety are central to the design. The step supports a high maximum user weight of 400 kgs, offering reassurance for heavier users and those who need a very stable platform.
